There are several ways to disable desktop notifications in Wavebox, depending on what you want to achieve. In this post we show you how to:

  1. Disable or mute all notifications.
  2. Disable notifications for an integrated app.
  3. Disable notifications for a specific app or website.

  1. Disable or mute ALL notifications permanently or for a time period.
  • The green bell icon in the sidebar .
  • Tray icon (computer's menu bar) > Mute Notifications.
  • White bell icon in the Mini Menu bottom left corner.
  • Settings > Notifications > Mute Notifications (button).

2. Disable notifications for a specific (integrated)› app.

  • Right-click on the app icon.
  • Select Settings > App Settings
  • Badges & Notifications > Show Notifications > Toggle OFF.

3. Disable notifications for a specific app or website.

  • Right-click on the app icon.
  • Select Settings > App Settings
  • Badges & Notifications > Notifications Settings (opens new window)
  • Find the app and change the site settings e.g. Ask, Allow Block etc.

Desktop Notifications & Sleep

You will not get desktop notifications for sleeping apps, unless they are integrated apps (currently Slack, Gmail, Outlook, Office365, Trello).  As soon as you wake it up you will get an update on notifications.
